Heat Treatment Characteristics

Solution Treatment

Temperature: 1065–1095°C for 1–2 hours, water quenched.

Purpose: Dissolve strengthening phases to obtain a uniform austenitic matrix.

Aging Treatment

Two-Stage Aging:

720°C for 8 hours, furnace cool to 620°C at 55°C/hour.

620°C for 8 hours, air cool.

Purpose: Precipitate γ' phase (Ni₃(Al,Ti)) and γ'' phase (Ni₃Nb) to significantly enhance strength.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Welding Characteristics

Suitable Welding Methods

Recommended: TIG welding (inert gas shielded) and electron beam welding.

Use with caution: MIG welding (requires strict heat input control) and resistance welding.

Welding Materials

Filler material: ERNiCrFe-7 (AWS A5.14) or matching GH4145 welding wire.

Preheating: 100–150°C for thicknesses >6 mm.

Post-Weld Treatment

Stress relief annealing: 850°C for 2 hours, air cool.

Solution + aging treatment (critical components): Restore material strength.
