16MnCr5 is a kind of alloy structural steel with a wide range of chemical composition, and the specific chemical composition is as follows: carbon (C): 0.14-0.20%; silicon (Si): 0.50-1.00%; manganese (Mn): 1.35-1.65%; phosphorus (P): ≤0.030%; sulfur (S): ≤0.030%; chromium (Cr): 0.8-1.1%.

Carburizing Temperature:
880-980oC.
Case Hardening Temperature:
780-820oC.
Core Hardening
Harden from a temperature of 860-980 C followed by water, oil or thermal bath quenching.
Forging
Hot forming temperature: 1100-850oC.
Soft Annealing
Heat to 650-700oC, cool slowly.
Normalizing
Temperature: 850-880oC.
