Chemical Composition:

The chemical composition of SCR415 steel includes carbon (C), silicon (Si), manganese (Mn), phosphorus (P), sulfur (S), and chromium (Cr). The carbon content is 0.13-0.18%, silicon content is 0.15-0.35%, manganese content is 0.60-0.90%, phosphorus content is 0.030%, sulfur content is 0.030%, and chromium content is 0.80-1.10%.

 

Tensile Strength, Yield Strength, and Elongation:

The tensile strength of SCR415 steel is 800-1180 MPa, the yield strength is 650 MPa, and the elongation at fracture is 11%.

 

Uses:

SCR415 steel is mainly used in the manufacturing of various spur gears, helical gears, crankshafts, flywheels, crankshaft shafts, swing arms, crank rocker arms, as well as heavy-duty gears and heavy-duty bearings.

 

Condition:

SCR415 steel is available in hot-rolled, forged, quenched, and tempered conditions.

 

Advantages:

SCR415 steel has high hardness, wear resistance, fatigue strength, and high-temperature resistance.

 

Disadvantages:

SCR415 steel is prone to thermal cracking, hydrogen embrittlement, and has manufacturing difficulties. Special attention is required during welding and heat treatment processes.
