34CrMoS4 Alloy Steel Plate

 

The standard for 34CrMoS4 steel is EN 10083-3. It is an alloy structural steel with high strength and wear resistance, while still exhibiting some toughness at low temperatures. This steel has higher hardness and cutting performance than 34CrMo4 steel, making it suitable for parts that require high load-bearing capacity, high strength, and high wear resistance.

 

The specific chemical composition is as follows:

Carbon (C): 0.30-0.37%

Silicon (Si): maximum 0.40%

Manganese (Mn): 0.50-0.80%

Phosphorus (P): maximum 0.025%

Sulfur (S): 0.020-0.040%

Chromium (Cr): 0.90-1.20%

Molybdenum (Mo): 0.15-0.30%

Boron (B): 0.001-0.005%

Titanium (Ti): 0.05-0.10%

 

The tensile strength of this steel is 1000-1200 MPa, yield strength is 800-1000 MPa, and elongation at fracture is ≥9%.

 

34CrMoS4 steel is mainly used to manufacture mechanical parts that bear high loads and require high strength and toughness, such as components for aircraft and truck engines, as well as for ships, agricultural machinery, and construction machinery.

 

This steel can be annealed or heat treated.

 

Advantages:

1. Has high strength and wear resistance;

Disadvantages:

1. Not resistant to corrosion at high temperatures;
