The carbon content is 0.48-0.53%, silicon content is 0.15-0.35%, manganese content is 0.70-0.90%, phosphorus content is 0.035%, sulfur content is 0.040%, molybdenum content is 0.20%, and chromium content is 0.70-0.90%.

 

Tensile Strength, Yield Strength, and Elongation:

The tensile strength of 5150 steel is 925-1080 MPa, the yield strength is 655 MPa, and the elongation at fracture is 15%.

 

Uses:

5150 steel is suitable for manufacturing transmission components driven by gears, such as swing arms and bearings.

 

Condition:

5150 steel can be hot-rolled or cold-drawn, and can be quenched and tempered (oil quenching or water quenching can be used).
