I. Hot Working Properties and Requirements

Forging Process

Heating Temperature: Forging heating should be within the range of 1120~1160℃ to ensure the alloy is sufficiently softened and its plasticity is improved.

Final Forging Temperature: Must not be lower than 900℃. If below this temperature, the alloy is prone to forging cracks due to decreased plasticity. Strict control of the final forging temperature is required to ensure the integrity of the forging.

Deformation Rate: Suitable for medium deformation rates. High-speed forging should be avoided to prevent local overheating or stress concentration. The forging should be cooled slowly after forging to reduce internal stress.

Rolling Process

Hot Rolling: The hot rolling temperature is usually 1050~1140℃. Continuous deformation should be maintained during rolling, and prolonged intermediate 停留 should be avoided to prevent grain coarsening.

Cold Rolling: Cold rolling is suitable for producing thin plates (e.g., 0.8~4mm in thickness). Before cold rolling, solution treatment is required to improve plasticity.
