3. Production Process

Quenching and Tempering (Q&T):

Quenching: Heated to 880–950°C, then rapidly cooled (water or oil) to form martensite.

Tempering: Reheated to 550–650°C to relieve internal stress, improving ductility and toughness without significant strength loss.

Controlled Rolling: May include thermomechanical control processing (TMCP) to refine grains before heat treatment.

Non-Destructive Testing (NDT): Ultrasonic testing (UT) and visual inspection for internal defects and surface quality.
